The AWD is going to send 90 percent of the torque to the front wheels under normal conditions, but it can deliver more twist to the rear axles when needed. It is said the car will be able to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in less than 10 seconds while a top speed is expected to hit 124 mph. In other news, while this is not yet confirmed, it is said that a Borgward BX7 hybrid will be made available later on. This version will combine the same 2.0-liter turbo engine and a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and together should deliver around 296 hp and an all-electric range of 34 miles.
Borgward BX7 SUV – Release Date and Price
No much informant about the release date and price has been made public, but given that this upcoming Borgward BX7 SUV is a bit slow and less powerful than those high-end premium crossovers, the car should be significantly more affordable. A price tag of around $36,000 is very likely. When it comes to a release date, Europe may have to wait until 2017.
